I got my Samsung tablet at Pirate Adventure and after a few days of moving some files off my old personal laptop I have begun to use the slate as my regular computer as to be prepared for the fall. In doing so I have come across some issues with iTunes and Google Chrome.
The first issue: multiple times while using Google Chrome the system has locked up on me, not responding to any touch gestures or keyboard commands, leaving the only option as forcing the system to shut-down by holding down the power key on the side of the slate. This has occurred several times, on different websites and with different or no programs running in the background. Furthermore, when using Chrome and the virtual keyboard, the keyboard does not close after clicking off of a text-box or touching the "X" in the upper corner of the keyboard. The work-around I have found is to open and close the Charms bar. Also when trying to choose an option from a drop-down menu on a webpage the choice does not register with either the pen or hand points, I've had to use the keyboard to make these type of selections. All of these issues are major inconveniences, but more so the first over the latter two. If you have any suggestions I would be thrilled to know, perhaps a patch in the near future from Microsoft?
Secondly, while playing music through iTunes, the computer has locked up on me three times (the third time occurring as I tried to post this message the first time), getting stuck and repeating the same syllable of the currently playing song (like an old record player) and did not respond to any touch gestures or keyboard commands. I ended up forcing the system to shut-down by holding the power key on the side. I have since gone back and checked the music files, they are not damaged; therefore it is either an iTunes or Windows 8 issue. It would be appreciated if this were looked into and a solution found.
I thank you for your time and I would appreciate any and all feedback.
Sincerely
A.M. Lombardo III
