When I copy and paste text from Word, a webpage, or another area of a Blackboard course into the Blackboard text box, my browser either freezes or causes the page to display incorrectly. Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening?

One quick and easy way to resolve this problem is to turn off the visual text box editor in Blackboard. Turning off the editor still allows you to copy and paste or type text directly into the text box. It just disables the extra functionality that can cause code conflicts and formatting issues. Once you turn it off, it will stay off for all of your courses until you turn it back on (which you can do at any time).
To turn it off, simply click the “Text Editor is: On” button at the top right corner of the text box so that it now displays as “Text Editor is: Off”. To turn it back on, simply click it again until it displays as “On”.
