Before signing the Transfer of Ownership form with Assets Management that will legally transfer the computer from Seton Hall University over to you and as such no longer allow us to repair your computer you should visit the Corrigan Hall Consultation Area, located in CH29, to have your password removed from your laptop and create a backup of your files. This way if you ever need to restore your computer due to a virus/spyware infection or a software malfunction you will have a recent restore point.
For your email account you would want to forward any important messages and/or update the subscribed email addresses of your third party sites (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, message boards, news services, etc.) to your personal account. This is necessary due to the fact that your email account will be permanently disabled shortly after graduation.
Access your Blackboard courses and backup any important documents, alerts, announcements, contact information, etc. This is necessary due to the fact that your blackboard account will be permanently disabled shortly after graduation.
Apply for an alumni email account (formerly called Email 4 Life) by visiting the Alumni Association's homepage, http://www.shu.edu/alumni. Also you should contact the Alumni Association at 1-800-992-GRAD to request an Alumni ID Card.
